DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 17 March\, 2026 at 7:30 PM \nIn honour of St. Patrick we are going to continue our Irish theme. \nThis evening there will be a documentary film on the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland. \nThis excellent film places the period (1968-1998) within the larger context of the turbulent history of Ireland and explains the events which eventually led to the Good Friday Accord. \nThere will also be a door prize. \nSomeone will go home with a copy of “An Accidental Villain”\, a soldier’s tale of war\, deceit and exile. \nWritten by Linden MacIntyre\, it is the story of General Sir Hugh Tudor and his role as head of the police in Ireland during the Irish war of independence in the 1920s.
