General Meeting Tuesday 21 January, 2025 7:00 for 7:30 pm.
The Battle for Ortona has sometimes been referred to as “Canada’s Stalingrad”. The January meeting begins a two part study with an excellent video outlining the battle. The video is approximately 50 minutes, popcorn and chips will be provided and the bar will be open. The video will be introduced and questions taken at the end by Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Joe Murray who made an extensive study of the Italian Campaign while living in the Ortona area.
